MVP

Digital Test Bench

MVP Vision

Digital Test bench MVP is a web platform that collects test bench data, detect failures and empowers decision makers. The Product Line Manager can estimate how many test bench the line needs the year after. Failures can be diagnose by the Test Operator and we would like to unify the whole test bench process to prepare ourselves for the industry 4.0.

Value Proposition

Product planning optimization

Digital Test Bench will be connected with six essential departments of Thales Group: Thales Land and Air Systems, Thales Avionic Systems, Thales Defense and Security, Thales Defense Mission systems , Thales Alenia Space. In order to attract more departments at the moment, the team improves the architecture by applying high level of security and data protection.

Digitalizing through automated dashboard

The application checks the current status of all benches in one view. It allows customization of views which displays critical and more relevant information based on the user profile. User gets on-time information about the bench utilization rate and number of successful tests.

Cost optimization

Web-based application that connects testing devices and people. It aims to minimize paperwork, save time to employees and bring higher visibility on metrics in order to reduce faults and delays in production.

Benoit Monge

Thales/Product Line Manager

He manages Test Operators and MCO Operators. He is responsible for the lifecycle of various Thales products. He drives profitability and ensure that products will be developed at the targeted costs and quality levels. He gets frustrated when he is not able to assess future costs and to receive real time analysis on the target vs. real successful tests as it delays production.

Nicolas Baert

Nicolas Baert

Thales/Test Operator

His job is to monitor and operate the test bench through several computers to collect, analyze and report. He should fix any faults related to bench performance as well as troubleshoot in case of unexpected breaks. He gets frustrated while filling out a lot of paperwork during his shift. The application connects 120 benches from GBUs and Business Lines, and sends information to Nicolas about planned maintenance and disconnection of test benches.
